Our products are all certified
to have the highest safety standards.

ISO 9000
ISO 9000 is a framework for conducting business procedures in a way meant to ensure companies conduct the highest caliber of work possible. ISO 9001 involves the most rigorous standards possible in the ISO 9000 family of standards.

ISO certification is a huge commitment for companies to pursue - regardless of industry. This is not a one time event, but an ongoing effort with biannual reviews.

The global drive for quality systems standardisation and registration is well underway. Nations, regional bodies and customers worldwide are using registration to the ISO 9000 series as a means to differentiate quality companies from others in the field. Industries like medical device manufacturers and auto manufacturers require ISO certification.

When you choose a playground equipment manufacturer, choose a company with proven high quality design, manufacturing, customer service and continuous process improvement.

ISO 9001 certification represents Landscape Structures Inc. and RetroMax's continued commitment to leadership in park and playground equipment design and manufacturing.

ISO 14001
This level of certification establishes the highest level of corporate commitment to the prevention of pollution and fosters a cultural change toward environmental management practices.

Landscape Structures Inc. is the first and only North American playground manufacturer to achieve this certification. Our efforts include using less water, reclamation and recycling of our materials, and reducing paper use through electronic communications. Fewer than 200 other U.S. companies have met the voluntary but strict ISO 14001 standards.

IPEMA
IPEMA, the International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association, grants an industry certification that applies to play equipment products and their compliance with standards for safety and performance. IPEMA has developed a third-party program that provides validation for public-use playground equipment. The goal of the IPEMA program is to inform and assure the purchaser of public playground equipment that certified products conform to ASTM safety standards. Landscape Structures products are IPEMA certified. For a publication regarding IPEMA, please see our Site Planning Resource Library.

ASTM
The American Society for Testing and Materials is a scientific and technical organization that is a major developer of standards for testing different materials. In 1993, ASTM published "Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specifications for Playground Equipment for Public Use". Landscape Structures conforms to these ASTM standards.

CPSC
The Consumer Products Safety Commission is an independent agency of the federal government whose charter is to inform the public of unreasonable risks associated with consumer products. The CPSC has developed safety standards for playgrounds, which are published in the "Handbook for Public Playground Safety", which you may order free of charge from our Site Planning Resource Library. CPSC guidelines are closely linked to ASTM standards.
